C-Frame / Gap Frame Power Press

C Type Power Press Manufacturer in India

A C Type Power Press — also called a C-Frame or Gap Frame press — has an open-front, C-shaped frame that provides easy access to the die area from three sides. Basant manufactures C-Frame presses from 3 to 250 tons for general-purpose stamping, punching, blanking and bending.

The C-Type Power Press takes its name from its C-shaped frame profile, which leaves the working area open on three sides for quick die access, material feeding and inspection. It's the most common press configuration for general sheet-metal stamping where fast setup and operator convenience matter as much as tonnage.

Basant's C-Frame presses are built from robust cast iron and high-grade steel with a mechanical clutch drive, and are available across capacities from 3 to 250 tons for automotive, electrical, hardware, appliance and general engineering applications.

C Type Power Press — Frequently Asked

What is a C Type power press used for?

It's used for general sheet-metal stamping, punching, blanking, bending, piercing, embossing and assembly operations across automotive, electrical, hardware and appliance manufacturing.

What tonnage range does a C-Frame power press cover?

Basant's C-Frame range spans roughly 3 to 250 tons, with heavier configurations available on request.

What's the difference between a C-Frame and an H-Frame press?

A C-Frame press has an open front for easy die access and is typically used for lighter to mid-tonnage work; an H-Frame press has a closed, two-pillar frame offering greater rigidity for higher-tonnage precision stamping.
